Why Glinda? The Festive Finery team decided to select a iconic character who who exemplified the most desirable qualities of a great host AND a great  guest – for any special occasion.  Glinda the Good Witch was one among several possibilities and the hands down winner because, like all perfect hosts and well-mannered guests:

- People are always happy to see Glinda (except bad witches and flying monkeys – but you don’t want them at your party anyway.)
- While her arrival may cause a bit of a commotion, it’s a GOOD commotion.
- She arrives when she should and never overstays her welcome.
- She is confident enough to wear the same dress for several occassions.
- She always brings just the right gift delivered with style (think ruby slippers)
- She doesn’t talk too much and seems to listen well.
- She’s cool under fire.
- She shares her wisdom, but only when asked.
- She does some neat tricks
- You always look forward to seeing her again.
